Pay Through a Third Party

If someone handles paying your bills, such as a relative, trustee or social service organization, we can send a copy of your bill, as well as a reminder, past-due and shut-off notices, to that third party. To add a third-party, contact our customer service center at 757-356-6517, Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

(LIWAP) Low Income Water Assistance

The Low Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP) is a temporary federally funded program created to assist low-income households with water and wastewater bills. LIHWAP relief will be available to eligible Virginia residents from October 2022 until funds are depleted.

Benefit Amount

• Variable, up to the amount of the past due water/wastewater debt, up to maximum $2,500.

Eligibility Requirements

• Gross household income below 150% of the federal poverty level.
• Live in Virginia
• Be a U.S. citizen or qualified alien.
• Have service disconnected or at risk of disconnection with the next 30 days.
